switchin' the leader..

i'm in cheyenne mountain.. it's getting pretty hot.
my problem is that i've accidentaly exchanged my main character with another one and don't know how.. it's been quite a while to load, but i can't work out how i can put my custom character back in the first place. i can fiddle around with the rest of the troops by right-clicking their portraits on the Character screen, but that doesn't work with the leader.
can anyone help? thanks..
 
It happened to me at the 4 horsemen random encounter. Same thing happened with lots of other people.

You could proberbly go about this by taking a dose of the mutagen-drug which should lower your CH to 1 and then return to the encounter
