I can't believe all these people who are pining for "ultimate realism" in Fallout 3. The FO series is a game, people. Games aren't real. Some games can be fun and realistic, but not Fallout. The entire Fallout universe is based on an entirely implausible concept, that of total nuclear annhialation. Even though the nukes used were developed in 2077, I doubt even these futuristic weapons of mass destruction could annhialate the entire surface of a planet and scour it of all civilization and most technology (and even if they had, the world would've been back on it's feet in a lot less than 200 years)

And the military base, for instance. One person could not take out an entire base full of humans, let alone super mutants. Especially considering that one or two well placed shots will kill a man, and most of the mutants have gattling guns...

And what about the unrealistic damage done by large amounts of C-4 explosives? And what about people that sit still and pretend not to notice while you steal things off of their shelves? And what about...

Well, you get the message. The Fallout universe asks us to overlook a few things, and in return, it gives us a full and engrossing gaming experience. Although we all know that it could use a few tweaks, by no means does it need a massive overhaul.

Are you referring to me?

And i do NOT mean ultimate realism, i just mean that damage system needs some heavy tweaking.

I remeber one time when i stole that ranch-keepers heartpills and poison: I took it from the self and dropped it to the ground and then picked it up again. Fun. Is there anyone who has tried to those pills to cassidy, he has a heartproblem, i tried but he died in the way to NCR, because we met some unfrindly deathclaws, he's probably growing in a plant by now...

I'm talking about these people that really want realism, you know, like taking a shit in the game and then choosing what kind of toilet paper you use, but someone poisoned the toilet paper, so you get a rash, and then you walk funny...

Well, of course that's an exaggeration, but I've seen things on this site and others that aren't too far off.

In regards to your post, though, one and two hit kills would kind of destroy the Fallout role playing atmosphere for a lot of people. Then, that's just my opinion. Not a shot at you or your opinion.

(Oh, my Cassidy attacked me before I could get the patch, so I left his remains in the desert. I did leave one dollar on his body, though, for his months of faithful service. It was the least I could do. (But the most I would do...))
