well...I just wanted to say ...er...write ...that I REALLY missed the "tell me about" option in FO2.
...all that possibilities to enjoy somehow "hidden" quotes, like ,say, Harold asked about Loxley, Lou'Tenant about Morpheus and many more...
I think it would be nice if it reappeared in FO3...wouldn't it ?

Only if it were more useful. I stopped using it in FO1 after trying 100+ times, and getting no responses. It wasn't worth the effort, anymore.

Actually, the "tell me about" thing would have been useful if it would have included a pull-down menu of terms/places/people/things that you have encountered or heard about. If you have ever played the SNES game shadowrun you would know what I am talking about...sort of.

I didn't play shadowrun, but I think I know what you mean. It would indeed sound *supid* if a PC asked about things he didn't have a chance to hear about.
Another thing - the "tell me about" was used just for fun, or to make the gameplay a little more "rich" (at least I think so) - everything useful was available in conversations with npc's, so the rest was put into the "tell me..." thing. It was just another way to get to know about others' problems/opinions/etc. None of the quests depended on this option, so I think implementing it back to FO3 would make no problem at all.
