Thank you all so much for fixing Fallout on my computer!!
I am an old-time gamer, not as old as computers, but as old as the internet. When I was 10, my dad bought a first computer, a 486, and shortly thereafter we got War 1, and soon Civilization, and I began playing and loved those games so much.. A little while later, my dad decided to open a computer game room in the back of his small business, the bus station he ran by himself. We called it Back Room Gamers, we had about 8 or 9 good computers, LAN connected with good internet and a lot of games, our main-stays being Starcraft, Unreal and Counterstrike..
Also I played Fallout and Fallout 2 then, actually the first I played a while after 2. . .
It's always been my favorite, just because it never gets old..
I got the first Restoration Project patch maybe 8 months ago, which was pretty awesome... I haven't gotten online until now. Btw this site is so much better than some others, I see now that I'm posting for the first time...
I noticed the new patch a couple days ago and straightaway tried to install it... being lazy as I am, I didn't get it working until today, even though it was simple - but
I got it working!! and... it's beautiful!! so I just wanted to immediately come and say thanks so much for doing so and you guys are amazing-
everybody who worked on it, thank you, it's totally awesome.
So I finally got K9 through the Enclave... Recently I learned for the first time how to get more than 6 total party members.. With K9 and the Evil Brain Bot joining you over the limit, you can reach 8. I took them through the end of it... I leveled everyone up almost all the way.. I like my character stats because it goes through the points 100 hp, 200 and 300.. I like that. When I got to 309 I went through and I had basically no trouble at all keeping K9 alive.. as long as you strategically attack... it's so cool to see K9 laying the dominating blows. Hits them for 24 points and lays them out, taking half their AP while he hardly gets hit at all. Does anyone know of any other legitimate ways of getting more than 8? can't really think of any.. I am looking forward to someday trying to get 5 extra party members, through the glitch in New Reno, but I haven't donet hat yet.
I've never really talked with other people about Fallout much.. I'm pretty amazed by this website, and just a moment ago I was thinking how, it's run by programmers, who know what they're doing, so of course it's going to be exceptional..
Anyway I'm really honored to join your site, and I know I'll be around here for a while.
I have had this wonderful idea of a Fallout movie, or series... I'm sort of thinking Lord of the Rings-ish and Game of Thrones-ish, with a touch of Waterworld, but it would have to be epic... to be written by someone who's a genius, on top of their game.. It couldn't flop like Ender's Game did, that would be too much tragedy to bear, but if it succeeded like LOTR or GOT, that wold be great. It would have to be drier than Lord of the Rings' world, and hot and everything...
