I apolgize if this has been discussed previously on this board, but I just arrived here, and this is my first post.
Anyhow, I have something that's really bugging me, as I was exploring NMA for a picture to use on a different forum as an avatar, I scrolled over the EasterEggs section(Fallout2), I looked at the main ones, and then scrolled down to the very bottom and started working upward. It seems that someone has made a grave mistake in submitting one of the "Eastereggs." My post concerns John Guston's relating the location Broken Hills(F2) to where "The Road Warrior" was filmed, which was Broken Hill, Australia(1). It is true that where "The Road Warrior" was filmed was Broken Hill, however, it is also true that in western Nevada, there was a quaint mining town(now a ghost town) called Broken Hills (2), which mined gold. Albeit, the location of Broken Hills in Fallout 2 is out of proportion, considering it is north of New Reno (which correct me if I'm wrong, is basically the original Reno, but founded by post-war humans?), and it is actually south, and also, in real life, Broken Hills wouldn't even be on the map grid. But consider that the name is more familiar(and on one site I saw, there was a picture of Broken Hills[real-life] which resembled the Fallout 2 picture of Broken Hills at the end game slideshow, I'll post the site upon request), and there aren't any apparent references in Broken Hills(F2) to Mad Max, or the city Broken Hill. The only relation other than the name minus a "s" is that there will be a mining site(uranium) opening north west of Broken Hill(3), but do you think Black Isle even knew about this?

Any speculation as to how Broken Hills(F2) was found? Could it be the same location, except in Fallout's universe there was a uranium rush, rather than a gold rush? Perhaps Broken Hills was rediscovered during the war and it started mining uranium for the government?
By the way, does anyone have the picture of Broken Hills from the endgame slideshow? I would greatly apprecaite someone posting it, in order to make a comparision. Thank you.
