The Easter Eggs from today?

chaos_ocean

First time out of the vault
What about seeing President Bush's 11 sep plans in fallout 3? It could be turned out that president Bush had planned the 11 Sep attacks...
Or in some situations we can encounter some Iraqian snipers who still seek for American troops?
But i doubt if bethesda can show us real courage to insert something like that.[/b]

Oh, for fuck's sake.

- Abundant easter eggs are stupid and break immersion.

- The Iraq War would not have happened in the *alternate* Fallout universe.

i only made an example, so it could be different but i would like to see something from real world. Think like that; if we can imagine them, they can imagine us too....

there are enough videos on youtube and other stuff about this topic,
and it is kind of old.... -> absolutly non intersting...

but, still your postings are funny, though.
reminds me on my first postings. :)

Ehm, your entire post consisted of 'I want to see Iraq referenced!' and you then say 'it's just an example'.

Also, your last sentence makes no sense.

Lastly, special encounters and the like are really, really stupid if used abundantly.

Even if I don't like the idea I must say that the war in Fallout also was a war for recources. The chance that the USA also fought middle-eastern enemies is still realistic, unless someone has evidence against it.

Europe and Middle-east are pile of rubber/wasteland/hellhole/junkyard you name it due to the war for oil (read the Fallout bible) long before US was hit with nuke. So a random encounter based on middle-east element will not ...convicing...

In Fallout's timeline, it was the European Commonwealth (lawl) fighting against the Middle Easterners. Replay of the Crusaaades.

The USA took over the last remaining oil reserves anywhere afterward, so China invaded Alaska in an attempt to get some for itself. SO SORRY, NO SUICIDE BOMBERS IN F3

OSHI... BUT THERE'LL PROBABLY BE A NEVER FORGET

Petroleum and uranium.
For these resources, China would invade Alaska, the US would annex Canada, and the European Commonwealth would dissolve into quarreling, bickering nation-states, bent on controlling the last remaining resources on Earth.
You are wrong KK. http://www.nma-fallout.com/content.php?page=fo-about

But back to the original topic, a Warhammer 40 000 referance could be taken into a one special encounter.

Yeah, he could like ask you why the rum is gone and then when you give him some rum you get a pistol with only one bullet in it, and if you use it on the big bad boss at the end of the game, you get a completely different ending where pirates take over but then they are all killed by ninjas and you have to rid the world of ninjas!!!

Uhm... no...

We all agree that Fallout 2's Monty Python references sucked, right? So Bethesda should definetely not repeat that mistake. They should put Seinfeld references instead.
Imagine the dripping humor of someone saying "We're not mutants. Not that there's anything wrong with that.", or NPCs fighting about a pen which writes upside down. If that's not quality humor, I don't know what is.

You know, some Fallout players aren't Bush-Bashers like the whole lot and WOULDN'T appreciate that sort of humor. In fact, if they did, that would make Jack Thompson's case even better.

And we do NOT want that.
