The end of Fallout 3? Maybe not!

You think Fallout 3 is history?

A German Software Company called "Silver Style" maybe wants to buy the license of Fallout, but they are not sure that the Fallout - Fans would buy a Game that is not from Black Isle (wich does not exist any longer). So i want you to post in their Forum at http://www.silver-style.com/forum-d/viewtopic.php?t=702

If they see that there is enough feedback they maybe produce it. You don´t have to write in German :)

That's old news actually.
The game is called The Fall, I think and those germans say they have been dreaming of making the 3rd fallout blah blah yadayada

No, they want to make "The Fall" and maybe after that, if they'll get the license, Fallout 3. The Fall doesen't look bad, so why shouldn't they do Fallout 3? Better from them, as from no one!

While they listen to their fans, hopefully in the right way, I'm just not that impressed with their work to the level of a CRPG like Fallout. There's just so much to take into account, most notably the setting and composition of the game.

You're right, but Black Isle was not famous, too, before they made Fallout right? With Silver Style it's might the same, I don' know. But if they still think everybody wants a FO3 only from Black Isle, they won't buy the license and they won't make FO3.
I think they will listen to the fans and our ideas to satisfy our critical opinion about things they should do better. Well, I think they are the best for this job. I read, that they are great fans of Fallout and they like post apocalyptical scenarios, they saw many post apocalyptical movies, too. Something like Mad Max I think. They are on the right way, aren't they?
All in all I want my FALLOUT 3!!!

damn, you're right. they sound like a bunch of geeks with no sense of coolness.

you may delete my post regarding it being the next fallout game...damn....

maybe pirahna bytes did 'the fall' it would have been much closer to the target.

Well, actually there was no Black Isle when they made Fallout....it started a bit later on.(don't remember whether or not Black Isle did FO2....)
The team was still more or less the same of course (apart from TC and those quitting) so the point is not wrong per se....and it's a point I've used too....every dev has to start somewhere....
Also even if they've only been doing mediocre FPS's before doesn't mean they can't do great CRPG's.(since it's also partially in the publishers hands)
Not trying to say SSE can't do it BTW (even if it may seem so) since they're imho can pull it off since they're willing to listen to fans and they also have connections with the former BIS employees like Puuk and Josh...

I was of the Impression black isle did exist for FO1, there were simply "Interplays Role-Playing section", a rose without a name.

Someone should start a petition to prevent FO3 license from falling in SilverStyle's hands. I'm dead certain they would fuck up FO3 horribly.

Thats "The Fall" not Fallout. While it is Post-Apoch the fall is not a fallout clone, hence it will be diffrent.

Personally, I love their attitude...

Yet you'll never see Black Isle stand up and take credit for Descent to Undermountain which was released just a year before Fallout. I wonder why that is.

I see what you mean.

It's also not surprising that Grifman is still spreading his brand of stupid. It didn't stop him from wasting bandwidth on the old forums when he proved he enjoyed posting whilst naive. The moron probably hasn't been to many backwater Southwest US towns of the sort that would fit the description. Many of those out in the middle of nowhere don't have electricity or have to rely on well water because anything else would be too expensive to put in where they live, and they often don't have generators. There's also many communities way out on the middle of nowhere where they are reliant on having walls of cars to break some of the worst winds or heat and many of these are from back in the 60's, a lot of these people are prior hippies or burnt out roadies or are running from the law. There's plenty of ways to make a body vanish into the desert and there's also many people who hide in the Southwest as well.

If for the Southeast, there's plenty of backwoods places that are of the similar condition, as the swamps and forests can provide the same obstacles.

Of course, Grifman probably believes that Alaska would have such a system of "everyone has POWAH and WATAH!" After all, the map shows that it is only a fraction of the size of Texas. ;)

In addition, if the putz is that clueless as to believe that religion hasn't been the death moreso than the major wars when it has been proven a number of times (though most fundy Christians don't like to admit it). When it comes to religious wars and conflicts of the same nature, then there's a steady amount of deaths.

Of course, then there's the gassed and crispy Jews to add onto the top of the example pile, so to speak. Oh, yes...the Crusades. Spanish Inquisition? The British Empire? The entire fucking Middle East? China? Romans? Greeks? Babylonians? Most wars are also religion based in some way, so that kind of pads the figure in both ways but still counts.
