I wish to pass to the Fallout community a mod that will extend the time a critter attacks with the flame thrower. The original critter animation was made of 4 or 5 frames; this will extend that to 11 and 12 frames respectively. This was designed to counter the rapid speed of the frames when using the Sfall speed modifier function - (great function Timeslip – thank you). This will mean that when a critter is attacked and is in the burning animation sequence, the attacking critter might still be using the flamer on them while they burn.
The frames are based on the original artwork so don't complain if it looks slightly dickey. Every critter that uses a flamer has been adjusted…critters that have been recently built for the Restoration project will be finished after the final release is made public. So don't forget to grab a flamer during your game and start burning…some feedback on its effectiveness would be appreciated. The burning starts here - The Extended Flamer Attack Mod.
EDIT: These animations have been updated - the first frame was removed so you don't get a split second delay in the attack - notice the GIF. My mistake...
These are the extended flame attack FRM’s for the Long Hair critter - (built for Mash’s appearance mod)…just follow the instructions. If people are curious as to why there isn’t one for the tribal version of Mr. Long Hair – well tribals don’t have the flamer animation…Mr. Long Hair's burning starts here - The Extended Flamer Attack Mod – Mr. Long Hair.

EDIT: There is now a new version for the bald player character in the Restoration Project. As the new player characters are finished I'll upload new versions (e.g - Mr Black Dude and Ms Punky). Grab it here - The Extended Flamer Attack Mod – Mr. Bald.
. . . . . . . . .
An in game shot of the extended flame attack.
PS: Can anyone recommend a screen recording software that works with Fallout – I tried FRAP’s but with no success…I wanted to show a comparison between the old flamer and new flamer animation in-game.
EDIT: The software I used was BSR Screen Recorder…
