The Fall at Gamigo

The German website Gamigo has a few new screenshots of the Fall, and another faction description. The screeshots display the various positions of the sun during the game day. Many thanks to Ashmo for translating the faction description for the "Seekers."<blockquote>Homelessness has always been an issue in the metropolitan areas of Texas, New Mexico and Arizona -- that wasn't different before the global climate disaster either. Unfortunates who, day for day, tried to survive in the dark corners, alleys or freeway underpasses of the commercial centers like Phoenix AZ, Albuquerque or Houston TX, represented the lowest social level. And even though one could think, that their misery would have been easier to bear in groups, there existed almost no bonds between these outsiders of society.

The catastrophe of 2062 was required to forge them together. Despite the violent change the events of this year brought along, the homeless had to bear the prejudices of others still. Although distrust was an expected daily companion the discrimination reached levels never seen before. Survivors who owned weapons -- and that were many in the South West of the USA -- had no problem seeing the homeless as living targets for shooting practice. So it came that the homeless retreated to the shadows again to stay unmolested.

Time passed by and small, not yet organized, groups of homeless people grew. And with them the self-esteem of their members. New strategies were created to master everyday problems. Like every gang -- and nothing else are the Seekers -- they want loot. However they avoid any unneccessary conflict to get it.

They just wait until an enclave or village lays in ruins after an assault of a gang. Only then they sneak in, kill possible survivors and take the remaining loot for theirselves. This efficient way of raiding causes the Seekers to have only few losses during their raids. On the other hand it is neccessary that they are always well informed about future assaults. Seekers always know what is going on in the wastelands and where to find decent stuff. A proverb says "If you know a seeker, you know the wastelands".</blockquote>Links:

The Fall: Last Days of Gaia - Exclusive: The Seekers and new screenhots

Today we exclusively introduce to you the Seekers of the apocalyptic RPG "The Fall: Last Days of Gaia".

In The Fall - Last Days of Gaia you are catapulted into the future, into the year 2083. After a global disaster the Earth is devastated and humanity is run down. Now martial law reigns and gangs dictate the life in this inhospitable world.

Today we are going to introduce to you the Seekers, the raiders and gangs of The Fall: Last Days of Gaia:

Additionally we have four new screenshots for you showing off the real-time calculated position of the sun, that are simulated within 24 game hours.

You can now find the screenshots in our gallery!

Ugh. I hate translating stuff.

Didn't Soldiers of Anarchy have basicly the EXACT same group called the Seekers? Bunch of sneaky, murdering gits who knew the wasteland and had a bunch of pre war tech they stole and salvaged? Except, obviously, from Russia and not Texas

Thanks Ashmo, i believe Lauren is right, although it´s been a while since i tried that game and didn`t got far.

There is no Tito. There never was any Tito. Comrade Stalin has declared the thing that never was Tito a non person. I have no idea what you are talking about.

What happened to Lauren's picture?? Oh, and I never get tired of Gnidrologist's animated one, no matter how many times I see it.

One of my favorite death animations from Fallout. When I first got that animation with a simple Desert Eagle I was a wee bit impressed by the apparent "wham" of the gun. Might be a bit exaggerated for single-projectile firearms, but works fine with shotguns.

I know this is a little off subject, but how do you guys get those cool pictures under your names and in your posts??

My theory is as fallows, the game designer guy was in fact a homeless guy that was picked up from the street by a bunch of bored millionares, who made a bet "hey i think even a homeless guy can make a video game". And the rest is history, well except for the fact that i think this game will suck, being made by an ex-homeless guy and all.
