Y'know, sometimes I just want to bitchslap the guys who release this kind of info.

LEARN GERMAN YOU MARKET WHORES!

Christ. "Gebalanced". That's not even a real word.

This game seems like a really good game, well if you dont count all the bugs, but it has the soldiers of anarchy feel to it wich I also liked very much. And to add the fallout theme to it makes me give it a try. I have the trailer and it looks great.

Now I eagerly await an english translation of the game.

I've been waiting for this game forever it seems. It's no fallout, but at least it post apocalyptic. But no english version! Will there be an english version? When? Does anyone know?

Hopefully, not too long. Guess they're too busy putting patches together to get round to that right now.

I'll reiterate: Let SS solve their technical shortcomings first, then we'll get an international version that's free of *most* bugs.

Alas, we hath borne witness unto the birth of Genglish ;)

Nah, it's called Denglisch and is common among minors these days. However "gebalanced" is really overdoing it a bit.

Hah, knew there must have been a pidgin like this! That's what you get for losing the war! :P j/k

Don't worry, it's pretty much the same here, except it's more popular with yuppies than minors. Minors just stick to their sad ugly version of slang Polish, all with clumsy, awkward, erroneous English-like spelling, which is frowned upon in Polish fora as forcefully as l337speak is here.

It's all so sad.

Vystarchy jush, zi0m.

Wait, it's called Denglish? You bastards! That's what the bastardization of Dutch and English is called here. Hah.
Which actually shows that even that word is completely rubbish, since Dutch is "Nederlands" in Dutch. Meh. Either speak Dutch, or English, correctly, or don't do it at all. A lot of people on my faculty know decent to good English, but there are always the idiots who fuck it up for the rest of us.

Meh, that said, do you have any clue as to why they can't even get their own German correct? Desensibilization of weapons, and the waking PCs bit don't sound too logical. Must be why you placed the question marks there.

I suppose it means desensibilisation. I couldn't think of a better translation for "getting used to". Maybe it was just a very weird word for "skill".

I suppose by "waking PCs" they meant "awake PCs", but somehow the phrasing was a bit awkward in the original even though the translation made even less sense.

As for the slang Polish, German kiddies aren't any better.

People who have talked to Carsten say he told them it would be released Q1 2005. We'll see, though. I'm skeptical until they actually announce the english publisher. From what I hear they either have one or are really close to finishing the deal, but until it's official I'm not gonna get my hopes up.

A pity I wasn't checking, I pride myself on both my German and English.

I'd have translated the hint-view as display rather. And the "waking" NPCs are probably GUARDING.
I am just assuming they are referring to a night watch you set up like in Realms of Arkania.

As for the odd "Waffengewöhnung" doesn't Silent Storm have a similar skill? Like you automatically get better with a specific gun you are using. Not knowing The Fall I wouldn't be sure what they mean though.

So.. is the game playable now?

PS: And while we're talking about stupid Denglish terms, people who actually mastered the German language know that "fixen" really has a different meaning in German. :P

Uk! Uk! Is it obscene by any chance? :D

No, in German a Fixer is just a druct addict. "Fixen" means pushing needles, if you catch my drift.

Claw:
Thanks for the corrections. I guess I was just a wee bit confused about the context. Didn't think of "Wachend" as guarding at that point, but then again you hardly ever say some is "wachend" anyway.
You're right about the display. I gues "hint display" is a better way to put it in English.

I'm not that good at translating. I just think and write in both languages, I don't do many conversions.
