The Fall switches publishers

The German post-apocolyptic RPG The Fall has switched publishers. According to the RPGDot translation of a German article in PCGames.de, Bigben Interactive has dropped The Fall because they want to "concentrate its efforts on the console peripheral and budget market." The German release of The Fall will now be handled by Deep Silver (a Koch Media label). The release date remains fixed to be released on November 5.

Bigben Interactive? Wasn't it Silver Style that originally developed that game?

Also, "Deep Silver"? What's wrong with those German people, why does every game label has to have a silver element in it?
Afraid of ze werevolffs in Uberwald, ja?

I thought silver was also used to stop the French from taking over companies, but I suppose it's also good against werewolfs.

Once more another business in the 'free market' of entertainment game production retrenches, and hunkers in BIG TENT of warm and fuzzy, safe, console conservatism.

Pledging an oath of fealty to the Barons of Con-sole and the "Once And Future 'Set Top Box' ".

Let's not consider this as a reflection on the quality of 'The Fall'.

Maybe,

A 'lifeboat situation' for the publisher,

or, the proprietary platforms are so lucrative that these companies can focus on ONE format, ONE demographic, and "risk" the ride on a marketing "bubble".

For me reading 4too's posts has a lot in common with staring at a lava lamp.

What Wooz? It's still being developed by Silver Style, it was being published by BigBen Interactive. You should know that often developers and publishers are different companies.

True dat, my bad.

Still doesn't explain the silver element-thingy.

Just try making sense of them while drunk... And sincerely, i'm about sure this game will suck, call it a hunch.
