The Fall: US Version Information

Some interesting information plucked from comments by Lead Designer Carsten Strehse on the Silver Style forums. A few days ago, when a fan indicated that he was growing impatient with the wait for an English version of The Fall, Carsten responded with this:
I would strongly recommend to wait. The US version includes so many enhancements (like more quests, more weapons, completly new characters, trunks for vehicles, engine updates and dozens of other things) that it's worth waiting :)
It is amazing the amount of work they have put in after the game was released.

Why do they put in more stuff when the only thing we want is the language update!? aaaaarg!

Great...so with all that new content, how many more bugs are planned to be in, and how many will be added by the undoubted patch to correct the initial problems with the US version? Or is the continual patching a new scheme that we are expected to swallow? It is nice...up until you realize the point where the developer assumes that the gameplayer has a connection to the internet and patching can be done after the beta-quality produce has shipped, and on top of that, the patches don't fully seem to fully fix the problems (as they claim) according to people who I have spoken to about the title.

Carsten, some dear advice. Unless you start charging for your patches, there isn't any reason to add more bugs with each one. At least you're not a total DimWit Bradley, but please do show some effort with the promises/claims and backing them up, we have been over this before. :D

You really want more than that, namely improved gameplay and bugfixing. They call the latest version 1.9, but it plays more like 0.9.

I started playing a few days ago, and now I noticed that travelling by car uses the car's health, not fuel. What makes it even more amazing is that this isn't a bug.

It's kinda sad to compare handling, gameplay and reliability to the visual quality, which I think is very good, especially animations.
