Well, it's been a few days since i've last written in this damn thing. after talking to a few namless faces in a place called Vault City. it turns out that there was recently some pretty heavy action going on. it seems as though another battle carrying the same magnitude as the one 70 years ago accured just recently. they said that it happened between a decendant of the former "vault dweller" and a group called "the encalve." the information was very sketchy concidering these people only hear these things from word of mouth, and it takes some time for the information to travel along the barren wastes of the old. however, from what i gathered, i believe my best bet is to travel farther west, towards the the great sea. there are rumors of a great city there. i have made a small map based on what some of the locals have told me... when i put them against my current maps, which i took from the library back home, it seems as if they match up with some of the old "pre-war" towns. of course, this is just a guess and the maps are crude. however, i believe that this will aid me. it seems as if there are a few settlements around this general area, but further south of here. there is one thing that has been bothering me though. there is an area inbetween the coast town and the settlements which i have on my map... this area is "unknown." so, this has me somewhat worried. it appears to be a valley or a plain of some sort which stretches far to the north and south. also, there appears to be a great mountan range to the east of this flat land. this very well might prove itself to be a thorn in my side. any ways, tonight i rest... for tomorrow i have a long walk ahead of me.
