The Manchurian Candidate

John Uskglass

Venerable Relic of the Wastes
The Manchurian Candidate is the kindest, bravest, warmest, most wonderful movie I've ever seen in my life.

It seems kind of odd that it's gone from semi-McArthyist to semi-Commie though. Sure, it made fun of McArthy himself, but it also had Commies way high up there in American politics.

Comparitively, the new Manchurian Candidate is all about t3h evaHl richies. Kind of odd and missing the point.

Anyway, it's now among my favoirte movies. Excitement, she wrote!

Yes, I know. Politics are popular again.

I should watch the original. Never bothered to pick it up at the local rent shop, don't know why - everyone I know loves it.

Yeah, same here. I hear great things...just haven't bothered to check it out.

'Course I haven't rented a movie since I quit working at the rental-place.
