Everyone's been rooting for a fully customizable NPC MOD for so long and now finally a working version has been released!

Brief Description: This MOD gives you a fully customizable NPC that will change his appearance for each type of armor he's wearing accordingly. He joins you right in the beginnig of the game by the Temple of Trials. This feature was never really implemented in the game engine so this MOD is not really a MOD but more of a hack LOL

Features and In-Depth View:
This MOD is based on the Friendly Klint MOD Beta by Jargo FMC, that was never fully developed. So I took my time and went through all the Proto files and adjusted the settings accordingly for each and every type of Armor, except the Robes (you can still wear them with default stats though, which is about appropriate unless its Bridgekeeper's robes).
Note: By stats here I mean all the skills and stats, including Armor Class and all the rest.

From the Beta version most of the dialogues have been updated. Fixed the bug that wasn't allowing any changes in NPC stats, hence forcing you to use the initial stats, regardless of the type of armor you put on him, and also preventing him from leveling up. Now your NPC will have an appropriate amount of AC and DR for each armor. He will also learn new skills and abilities with each armor upgrade in addition to the default leveling up. This makes him a very unique and flexible NPC that is not limited in any way and can be useful all the way through to the very end of the game and beyond. All the Combat Control options have been enabled for this NPC, since he's so handy.
Note: His Herbal Medicine Skill will only work with his initial appearance as a tribal (no armor).

Why is everybody freaking out? What forum was this originally posted on? As of now, it is in the modding/hacking forum, which seems to fit that topic.

I haven't played it yet, but does the NPC tie into the story? Why not make it a female companion instead of yet another guy?

Just for the record, demanding that people register to download mods is just wrong. But it's your own decision to make.

Nice that someone try to upgrade this mod ;).
But there are some things:

Fine but when you changed proto then you forgot to set Barter flag to yes in some proto (Jacket maybe others) so when you change armour you cannot barter with Klint.

Sorry but Klint will not level up, well it will but every time when you change armour a completely new critter is created and he will be always level 1.

Note: His Herbal Medicine Skill will only work with his initial appearance as a tribal (no armor).
This work always BUT success depends on his doctor and first aid skill so you should change this skills in protos for other appearance.

Hope that this helps you to improve this mod.

He is fully customizable and very flexible NPC that can fit your own story. He will change the appearance according to whatever you put on him.

Female companion? That sounds interesting, I'll look into that.

Almost every forum that doesnt have a language filter and filled with mature content will require registration. It's the only way to hide it from the curious spiders(search engine bots)

I'm pretty sure that bug was fixed as well. Make sure you delete all the files from the previous mod before running this one.

Look, this is not exactly a mod but more of a hack. The game engine never supported this feature. You can think of it as leveling up because if you drop the technicalities it is really the same thing.

Dodgerovitch, your mod is promising. However as Jargo pointed out, leveling up is a must. You could try the Enhanced NPC Miria mod made by Stone-D which makes Miria a great character. Things that would be greatly appreciated: a significant female companion (other than Miria, perhaps a rival of some sort who bickers with Miria at every chance to jump into the pants of the Chosen One (female or male)). However if you would like the mod to really trascend you would have to do something nobody has attempted before like scripting and creating models for the black male and fire headed female models so that they can wield guns. I was trying to do that for a House mod (shelved at the moment since I could never get it to work (it gets added to the world locations but erases your car and corrupts your savegames (the B21 mod does the same thing for some reason)) so that when you used an alleged "g.E.c.k." you would get a house when with a clone of a popular actress from before the War. THAT would be a great mod: creat a companion mod that uses the black male or red haired female model. Its not impossibly hard I would think since the frames you would have to create would be for Metal, Naked and Leather armors. You already have a black guy in metal armor model (Sergeant Stark, Major Ascorti, Marc and Sheriff Marion) and a brunette haired chick model in metal armor (Valerie and many other characters...would require a touchup of the hair). These are my two cents. Peace bro and keep the good work.
 
^Thanks for the feedback SkynetV4, and your idea indeed sounds interesting though very close to impossible since you would probably need to create an entirely new animations for the black guy/gal in leather armor/jacket.
