The PC Gamer reference...

First time out of the vault
Although it's nothing new...I figured I'd post it:

Please don't jump on me...this is my first post, although I'm a long time FO fan. That other thread got nasty. I think some of you need to relax, anyways.

I had already seen that...I was just posting up the entire snippet from the article. Some people don't get PC Gamer, or might have missed it. I know the poster isn't new. That's why I said "nothing new".

Thanks for stating the obvious about the obvious. :D

1. We knew the poster was at E3
2. Game Informer ranks Fallout as the "best games of all time".
So do alot of other "Game Magazines". Apparently none of them have ever played Fallout and then played Morrowind/Oblivion and noticed Bethesda are incapable of making "Role Playing Games". It's not rocket science.
3. "Fallout3 will likely use the same engine".
See 2.

:)

Was this actual jpeg posted? Was the article posted word for word in it's entirety? Does it really matter? It's still interesting to see Fallout splashed out over the pages of a gaming magazine, regardless of how you think the game is. Personally, I think it should be overhead/isometric and just like the originals except with better graphics, but that has nothing to do with the fac that I posted the article and the image for people just to look at out of curiosity.

Is it really that big of a deal?

Urg.....

Yes, minus the caption

Was the article posted word for word in it's entirety?

No, but we already know that FO is one of the best games of all time, and we know that it is in production after Oblivion, and yes we know that it will probably use the same engine.

Does it really matter?

No, but then why would you repost old news, if it really didn't matter?

Yes it is, but we have seen it, discussed it and it's old news. I guess any advertising of FO is great, but we have been there, done that.

Urg...

We know this, lots of people think this, and we understand... But at least you didn't start a fresh post exclusively fo this

Hmm, well I think that this thread will be vattzored shortly, then no one will care about it, seeing as people's curiosity was somewhat halted by this picture... that has already been posted!

The PCGUS editor, D.J. Stapleton list X-com (the original series) and Fallout as his top-10 favorite games of all time.

Still, I'm skeptical about Fallout 3 after seeing what Todd is willing to do :?

Cut it out people. The article was indeed never posted, so it has some kind of small value as that: PCGamer posted an article. Although that's pretty much stretching it.

ArchangelX: Try to post something with a little more content than this next time, okay?

Sure. If I can find anything. It's a wasteland out there. :D

That little bit was the most I've seen about FO in a gaming magazine in awhile.

Yep, i used to post these small bits all the time, these days and with Beths FO3 they are kind of rare, thanks ArchangelX

Heh, I guess it is great to see ANYTHING about FO these days in mags...

Well, at least this is some kind of confirmation that something is happening.

Now let's just hope they don't go and pull a "vault zero" or some other contradicting Fallout element.

I wouldn't hold my breath.
Considering how much they raped the TES lore with Oblivion, don't expect Fallout 3 to respect Fallout canon either.

I'm with you. I was first excited bout Oblivion. Then was 100% dissapointed by it. Now selling it on E-bay.
