The Tale of Frank Horrigan.

First time out of the vault
Alrighty, just finished fallout 2 the other day. My playthrough was a long story of save file moving and having to reset my crappy desktop to factory settings. When I finally decided to buck down and beat it, I met the famed Frank Horrigan. I wondered, Darby70 this is the end boss he's probably tough. When I found out I couldn't hack the computer for the turrets (still don't know why, i think my game glitched) I decided to attack head on. I died. Did it again and I killed him easily.

So, this is my point of the post: Did anyone else think Frank Horrigan was a pushover, even without turrets?

Also, was there any more info on Frankie besides what Granite tells you?

Well, a bit. In reality, he isn't that weak, but with a proper character build, everything can be a piece of cake. Though if you ask me, Melchior is tougher than him.
All in all, a tough guy, but nothing compared to, say, Master, even though he has twice the amount of HP.

Well to me the Master was a cooler boss, but wasn't very hard. I marched in and killed him first try, I think I over-prepared for him.
 
Well he is a pushover after a couple of plays.
The first time, not. The second with Bozar, definitely. Third time I punched him to death. But I will always remember the first, the turrets weren't the problem to me, his big fkin knife was. It was like he was bread out of deathclaws, always some damn critical hit into me >.<

I think Frank and Lanius are similar in terms of brute strength. Also in the general philosophy in a certain way, only the fittest survive and lesser ones need to be trampled over.
But I agree that The Master was a cooler boss, he had a character that you could admire. But Master was easily killed than Frank. Even if he got your Perception to 2.
