The Vault Dweller's Name

Just a simple question, not meaning to disrespect the main character of a game we all cherish, but does the bible or the manual ever mention if the Vault Dweller actually has a real name?

I mean there are a thousands of Vault Dwellers all over, but how come he is the only one that doesn't have a name?

Seriuosly though, the VD was never named because the VD is whoever you played him/her as. Its meant as yet another aspect of it being a RPG, in that it doesnt discount your previous chatacther('s).

I started a new file and named myself "asshole" just to see how it would change the dialogue a bit..
