Things to do in Fallout2 which require a high skill level.

Von Drunky

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
I found a mod that gives my character 300 to all skills from the start. Now I want to do all the things I was restricted to do before (as I found out the doctor skill doesn’t do much more at 300 then at 45). So far I got skynet with the cybernetic brain and got the medical tour in Vault City giving me the “Vault City Training” Perk. I also got the vaccine perk which I’ve never even heard of before and I came across some implants that give you damage resistance while i was using the medical computer in the vault but doctor Troy did not want to do it unless it were an emergency does anyone know how to get this? Mainly I want to know what are some other things I can do that require really high skill lvl?

spoiler!!!!!

just high light to see (now where did i see this trick before?)

you can get the "doctor" out the front of vault city to do the implants with the autodoc, but you will have to repair the autodoc first, just use your repair skill on it till it's fixed, next your gunna need several (four from memory) sets of NORMAL combat armour, can't use mark2 armour, 'cos he needs to strip the plates out of it and LOTS of Money.

from memory the doc in san fran will also do the implants

me...

Cool but is there anything else you can do with high lvl skills you normal don't put alot into (Sci, Doc, Repair ect.)

secret in the Oil Rig electricity labirynth .... look into Per's guide if you want more

^ Several in the Enclave, as Per's guide states...most of which are useless.

One rather silly thing you can do is (with 300% unarmed) get the HtH Evade perk. Use a mega power fist as your weapon and you gain +25 armour class, meaning that combined with your advanced power armour things simply won't be apply to hit you. Many weaker critters will simply run away...hehehe

Another thing to try is get yourself blinded, grap a gauss weapon, wait for it to be dark and then try and hit things from 50 hexes in th eyes, if you can do this to an enclave trooper with 95% chance to hit, i will be impressed.

Probably not what you wanted but...

i've been using power fist alot so maybe I will getting the HtH. Getting blinded will take some work with my LK10. But if it does happen I will let you know the outcome.

Let's see, off of the top of my head:
-In the Enclave there's some extra dialogue at the terminal closest to where you enter if you have Sci of 120% and you can
-At the squat outside of V15 you can use traps and lockpick (requirements of 250-300% each) on the Vault door and gain entry to it (or you could save the girl and get the keycard and avoid it completely).
-In NR after the Masticator bites off your ear (must have <114 or so hp) with high enough Unarmed you bite off his ear in return.
-With high outdoorsman doing Westin's job in NCR will allow you to track the deathclaws back to V13.
-Gamble and win massively at the hidden casino in NCR (you need the password from the gimpy salesman with overalls or break the door in)

I'm not sure if you've done these in a normal game since I didn't get the feeling that you skilled Repair/Science normally, but you can:
-Loot the lockers under the Toxic Caves (Electronic Lockpick and High repair required)
-Determine what is wrong with and then restore the power/forcefield in V15.
-Turn the minigun turrets against Horrigan in the Enclave (and recruit Brock or whatever his name is to fight with you against Horrigan as well).

That's all I can think of right now, if you really want more stuff just check out Per's guide: http://user.tninet.se/~jyg699a/fallout2.html
