I have pieced this togheter from threads on different boards and from the news section so bear with me, OK.
I have seen that on the general forum somebody said that both F3 and FOOL or in the pre production stages. Well, good (at least for F3) but isn't that what they are telling us for about 3 years now. They said things like "It will take an act of God to prevent the Fallout series from continuing". But lately their has been more talk about FOOL then F3. I hope they don't look to FOOL as F3.
Besides that Chris Taylor said that FO:T will bring new players to the Fallout community. That is always a good thing but as stated before by other people, that is only good when they do not look at Fallout the RPG as FO:T. Meaning that then they will probably want the same things in F3 as in FO:T. That would make F3 a dungeon crawling RPG like M&M or even worse Diablo.
Another thing is that i have seen in the news section of NMA that somebody within Interplay/BIS said that BIS is the studio for making fantasy AD&D RPG's. Where does that leave F3. Fallout is not an AD&D game so what will they put in F3. Clerics, mages,...
Another thing is the lay-offs at MF. Interplay stated that they did not want to put to many Fallout titles an the market. Well, seeing how much talk their is about FOOL and FO:T coming out, which are two new Fallout titles. I do not see a third one coming out soon after that.
I can not see a btight future. At least not know. Maybe the people over at BIS/Interplay can prove me wrong and they will announce F3 in a short while. But the way things are going....
