This is now Fallout. Get over it.

I'm tired of so many people whining about FOT not being true to the "Fallout Universe". What people seem to forget is that Fallout, in all of its forms, is a work of FICTION, and as such can be manipulated in whatever way the current user of the license sees fit. There are no hard and fast rules. If you have a problem with the new direction that Microforte took (which I feel is admirable, rather than just rehashing the same old crap from the RPG games), then go purchase a share of the license and make your own game.

Get down off your soap-box. You're certainly welcome to your opinion, but you'll respect mine as well. There are more than a few of us that feel Tactics took a bit of a wrong turn in keeping with the feel of the "Fallout Universe". If you don't want to hear us express our opinions about the game, you shouldn't be reading this forum. There are those of us who are very concerned about the Fallout license, because we love the universe that was created within the first two games. Tactics steps out of the "flow", if you will, of that universe (in my opinion).

Umm, Fallout RPGs are made of "old crap"? Ookay... Roshambo! :-)

You are right in a sense that Fallout is Interplay's trademark so they can have it any way they want, but you are taking people's complaints literaly - when someone says "It is not Fallout!", they mean that the design of FOT violates the very structures of design for which they loved Fallout RPGs. "It doesn't look like Fallout" would be more prescise, but you have to understand that there are a lot of people who care about Fallout so much for them design and a "universe" is one and the same.

What a goofball.

A hypothetical situation following your logic:
Some kid has a really stupid idea for the next Fallout game. He inherits a million dollars and buys the rights. Fallout: Rabbit Attack is promptly released - a multiplayer-only game in which pink rabbits try to spin their treadmills faster than those of their opponents (gameplay: mash your whole keyboard as hard as you can to make your rabbit go fast). There is no mention of anything from any of the previous Fallout games. The kid is convinced that this is a brilliant idea for some reason.
Your argument would seem to be that any questions raised about whether FO:RA would be an appropriate continuation of the series would be meaningless whining. I disagree.
