I have a wide-screen monitor which starts emitting hissing (squealing?) sounds when I start FOT. This has never happened in any other game, even in FO1. What the hell, is my monitor going to explode or something?
You might want to play FoT in windowed mode. Launch BOS.exe with the -w flag in the shortcut. When you do that once it will keep launching windowed. You can then maximize the window and play full screen with highest possible desktop resolution.
