Initially I had a lot of difficulty with the cursor (imprecise, difficult to click on objects) when playing Fallout on Parallels, I found that the problem lies with the "click and hold" setting.
Parallels Desktop->Preferences->Keyboard & Mouse->Mouse->Uncheck the "Click and hold" checkbox.
Hopefully that will save someone else from going through the annoying trial and error that I did
I have the Mac versions of F1 and F2, but the benefits to playing it on Parallels are these:
1. Lets you play it in a window, so you can use your other programs.
2. Lets you use great mods like Killapp's Fallout 2 Restoration Project!
