Tips for Shattered Destiny Bene fight

First time out of the vault
Im having trouble with the 1st shattered destiny. It seems that old bene either dies in that fight with the priests, or i am destroyed in that fight. I tried it with guns, melee, unarmed, and i cant find a way around that church fight. I love this mod, any tips?
 
Do you fight in the night or at day? Might be good to wait a few hours, so you don't go there when it's dark and your to-hit chance is influences. As alternative, see if you can lower the combat difficult. :p
 
I have trouble with everything about that fight. I really want to avoid it as its been 6 times i tried some of which lasted 30 minutes ending with me dying. There really should have been a charisma trigger to get around it.
 
It didn't really fit into the story when I've made it. Though, you are right that there should have been a way to get around. But there is a small bug you might be able to use: As soon as the leader of the church is dead, leave the map. This will end the fight and every critter gets removed / nobody can die anymore and you have won.

If you don't want to do this / can't do this, then it isn't a big problem if Bene dies. There is a second way to get access to the next location.
 


One nice thing about the mod is that you don't actually have to even visit that map to finish with the best ending. Just go straight to the caves, and skip the whole thing if you're having a lot of trouble.

 
Hey lex or anyone, i just got the chip and i cant seem to install it. The door to get through to install it, is trapped pretty heavily. I tried using traps but no luck. I also lockpicked it to unlock it and the game crashed, any tips.
 
This keeps getting worse for me. I opened the door and after trying 25 times, it keeps saying i failed to install it. My intelligence is 5, i dont know what skill is needed repair or science. I read a few books on repair but science is low.
 
Look around in the bunker. You can find at least 1 book and 1 toolset. Then you use the item on the generator.
 
Im sorry that im bothering you so much lex, but im almost at my wits end. I think that i might have too low int for your mod. I only have 5 and i cant seem to find a way around installing it. I cant find a manual and the problem is that the lockerroom in the underground bunker is unaccessable. I cant talk my way past getting equipment. The guard doesnt have a key i can steal. I think i might be through with this character. Ive gotten a little far, Should i restart?
