Tips To Successfully Be Evil In Fallout 2

Look, Ma! Two Heads!
It's been a long time since I successfully beat Fallout 2 with an evil character. It's almost impossible to go through the whole game as a completely evil character. I find that it's a much better idea when playing an evil character to start neutral and gain people's trust, and then when you get everything you need from them, you turn on them, just like in real life. You pick the polite responses in the game because you want people to like you. Otherwise, you'll be locked out of certain quests and people won't even want to talk to you. As a result, you miss out on a lot of rewards.

At the start, you can recruit companions that won't join if you have evil karma. And then, once they've served their purpose, you can get rid of them for a lot of karma by extracting their brains at SAD. You can do this to any humanoid character, including Lenny and Goris. Or you can sell them into slavery, though you can't do this to every companion.

Other reasons to avoid gaining too much bad karma at the beginning are:

-Certain people will only give quests if you have positive karma.
-Bounty hunters are tough to survive, even at high levels with the best armour and weapons.
-It's harder to get into Vault 13 to get the GECK and the NavCom part.
-You won't be able to talk to the Wright kids.

Reasons to hold off on becoming a slaver until much later:

-It's harder to convince Thomas Moore to let you deliver the briefcase.
-You can't get any Wright quests.
-Some people won't even talk to you or will even attack you.
