Todd Howard At E3

Marines

First time out of the vault
G4TV has been hosting live coverage of E3 this year, and they just happened to conduct a quick interview with Todd Howard about F3. Needless to say, every single last question Morgan Webb directed at him was either avoided or simply side-stepped. Questions such as - "Will this simply be another shooter?", saw Howard digress into a mild rant about the features in the game, not really answering the question. The same went for a subsequent inquiry about F3 being a Oblivion-esque game. Howard again avoided the question, and replied with something like"...we make RPGs, that's what we do..." blah blah blah, something like that.

What a fuckin' joke.

Like it or not, BethSoft prefers to give out info in huge chunks at set points in the development cycle. They've been this way for years, and I don't see it changing.

Keep in mind, everything they say prompts a flurry of "What do you MEAN by that?" and "I'm judging the finished product now based on one sentence."

It's better for them to just be able to sit down and lay out as much as they can at any given time, rather then let the gaming public make up their minds based on snippets here and there. Given that the game won't be feature-complete for about a year, it's understandable that they would only want to talk about what they are 100% sure about, rather then be accused of Molyneux-esque feature evaporation if something they're working on just doesn't look as good in six months.

I'm going to act like the asshole moderator I'm supposed to be, and tell you guys to read the articles/FAQ/previews about F3. There's loads of info, if only you search a bit.

Hint: "Contents".
