Total War

Look, Ma! Two Heads!
Successfully combining a risk-style strategy game with 3D real-time battles, Medieval Total War (http://www.totalwar.com) is undoubtedly the most addictive (if not attractive) game I've ever played. Have you ever played Shogun or its sequel Medieval? Who's waiting for Rome with as much patient impatience as formerly for Fallout 3?

Medival is about as historically accurate as Braveheart, or for that matter Lionheart. Many things are outright offensive in that game, like the 100% Islamic Armenia. Not to mention how many other, smaller peices of shit are in that game.

Go EU2!

And Shogun was alot better then Medival.

Although the Medival music is the best example of world music ever. I am listening to it right now. The Arab peices deserve an oscar.

I know very little about the period, CCR, so that doesn't detract from my enjoyment of the game.
If you're interested, I believe Wes Whitaker's Total Conversion may be the way to go for adding realism http://wes.apolyton.net/.

Okay, here is my problem.
A while ago I lost the CD to M:TW. A while after that I had to reformat the hard drive for reasons that will not be discused. What I did before that though was save M:TW so I would not have to buy a new one. I felt guilty about using the No-CD software, so I decided to just get Viking Invasion.

The problem now is that it says I do not have it installed. Any solutions?

You really have to calm down with the double and triple posts, CCR. Just edit your first message if you have more to add and no one else has posted.

I didn't appreciate how horse archers could not fire while moving, which kind of, you know, removes one of the primary advantages of horse archers in the first place. I also didn't like how they handled the Mongols, making them basically Pagan Knights. Of course, they would have been able to implement them realistically and make it work if horse archers could fire will moving, but I suppose they decided to cop out.

I can't wait for the heavily armored Huns in RTW...
