Transfering objects from F1 & F2 to FT

First time out of the vault
Hi.
I recently dicoverd the joy of FT multiplayer.
Then me and my cousin came up with the idea of creating our own multiplayer level.
I took a look in the editor and thought: Wow, if i could make a MOD witch made robes availible as armour, it would look really wicked. "
Following that line of thinking, maybe i could import other items from the old fallout 1&2. As the happy owner of both those games, I quickly installed them both...
And then i got stuck.

So my humble question is. CAN I transfer items from fallout 1&2 into Fallot Tactics. And HOW do i do this.

And, If annyone feel like they have time to answer asecond question. If this is too har, then how do i make an armour with the graphics of the elder in a robe.

I am gratefull of any answers to this.

Thank you for reading this.

They do not use the same engine. You'd have to manually convert the image files from the FO1&2 format to the FT format

All the inventory graphics from FO1&2 have been converted to sprites for FOT by OTB. You can get them and others from Max-Violence's Map Hub or OTB's site from here or here.

Unfortunately you'll won't be able to convert the actual image of a robed actor to FOT as the FRMs used in the RPGs are a different size, at a different perspective and don't have as many directions as the FOT sprites. There is also no sprite editor available that is capable of handling character sprites.

The best you could do is use the robe inventory sprite to make a new leather, metal etc armour and then rename the BOS Elder character sprite as LeatherMale or MetalMale etc to match whatever armour type you choose. Since you want this for MP you'd have to distribute the renamed sprite to everyone who wants to play, and that sprite is 9,540KB.

Finally the BOS Elder in FOT doesn't have the animations to use guns so your mod would be limited to unarmed and thrown weapons only.
