Travel help?

Does anyone have a good source for travel help. I am planning a flight to Africa and its running about $6K from the US. Any recommendations on good travel deals is appreciated. Cheers!
 
If you're looking for a relatively cheap and good stay, try some Trekking travel agencies. I went to Kenya and Tanzania for about $2K (From Europe, Though)...

Depends on how do you want to travel, the "trekking" option sucks if you want good hotels, most of the time you sleep in cheapo hotels and under a tent, there are no big buses with AC to take you to the diferent places, but on the other side you get to see the country better, with a good guide who knows the place well, speaks the local language and takes you to places where the average tourist doesn't. Like the top of mt. Kenya.

Don't know any adresses in the US, though...
 
I hate travelling. I was the only person in my school who wasn't excited about last year's trip to Florida. I don't know why I hate travelling so much - maybe I'm just lazy.

Welsh, you can always see Africa on Discovery Channel... :P
 
Thanks, actually I am looking for a flight to Gaberone, Botswana, or to Mauritius. This is grant related stuff, but the cheaper the better.
 
Check with your friend, if they work for an airline which has friends and family privileges.

And if you and/or your wife travels often to Brasil you should have a sh*tload of frequent flyers miles.
