First time out of the vault
Hi!
Finally i've done first scene from my "Tribute to Fallout" project.
I've spend more then 1 year to model and render this (not in 24/7 mode :-)). And one week to make video. I'm not professional - it's my FUN work. I like make scenes from Fallout. I've played Fallout 2 tomorrow :-) Wonamingo mines are successfully cleared :-)))))
I hope you will enjoy my work. I did it not only for me but for all funs of that great game.

Nice,

A bit stiff and slightly incomprehensible at parts but otherwise I think what you've done is really great!

One thing that bugged me was how tidy the vault seemed. I know that it was probably meant to be empty looking but I can't help feel that there would be something somewhere!

Example:

spacestationmq3.jpg

This is a capsule from the ISS. When they designed it the plan was that it would be an awful lot cleaner but you know stuff just accumulates!

Any plans to refine your brilliant work?

i understand you.
I tried to make movie looks like in game.
I will try to fill vault with some details. :-)

@ Hotel California

bunkers are often crammed, especially when it comes to sleeping etc. but electronics are never as crammed as in a fucking spacestation. very different size requirements.

there are pictures of old Cold War bunkers from the UK and the US on the net. you should go watch them.

@ Morpheus

no time to view the clip now, but i like the second picture.

hey, nice work, but in your place I would make not a rendered video of some sort, but I'd make a Death Match map and a Power armor game character for Unreal Tournament 3 or similar game

Those games are popular, fun, quite easy to modify and long lasting

This rendered Tribute will be seen by a handful of crazy Fallout fans, while if you make a mod for a popular game, it will reach a wide audience including children who have never played Fallout :)

btw, I like your Power Armor model from those renderers. You made the best representation of the original from all 3D models I have seen before (fan models, Van Burren model, Fallout 3 version...)

I watched the HD version of the video and I have to say that the english narrative was really bad. It had a thick Eastern European accent, and it was very hard to make out what you were trying to say (something about the vault being abandoned)?

I'd highly recommend that you get a native English speaker to narrate for your tribute, it would make it much better in terms of story. As for visuals, you get an A++. Very well done.

(If you can't find anyone, I'd be willing to dub/narrate in English)

Not only is the accent terrible, the grammar is atrocious as well.

The visuals on the other hand are top notch.
