Troika doing Post Apocalyptic?

I got an email from Steve "Grifman" Griffin/Eye-On-Troika and it seems Troika is supposedly planning to do an "unconventional sci-fi game" and by the looks of these concept art images, it looks like it's going to be a post apocalyptic one. Even the artist wrote: "post-apoc_01 :: Series of concepts revolving around a barren location. Can't say too much about it. ":

There's more concept art images where these came from at the artist web page.
Is this the point where I'm supposed to start chanting: "Go Timmy, Go Troika...Go Timmy !!!" ?
You can now discuss all about these pics and the other Troika games in our new NMA Troika forum, thanks to Gunslinger and Montez for helping out with the new forum.
Cheers Grifman!

It is post-apoc, i wonder if that`s the game DAC is supposed to make the announcement soon, i`m drooling already

They look good, BUT that's some huge trees (if it is that). Feels wrong with trees, makes it look a little more fantasy.. Then again, give us the story and I'll consider it..

But this does sound reeeeeal promising!

I'd like to see something new and interesting.

Some others from his site (Don't look like ToEE):

Yeah, I've downloaded them all.. waiting for my new image gallery script..

That model looks like it's for the HalfLife 2 engine, or some similarly capable engine. I'm guessing HL2 since they're licensing it for Bloodlines.

I'm guessing some kind of post apoc: the buildings look Earthish and the model's "clothes" look like patchwork real-world junk. As for the trees, perhaps gigantic mutant trees will destroy civilization as we know it. We need to stop them before it's too late.

Something about his gun reminds me of star wars, though.

Well he (Chris) calls the guy "Desert Guy"... I'd say more Dune than Star Wars..

Present Apocalyptic Infrastructure

These landscapes remind me of a V13 thread where folks talked about their local decayed infrastructure that evoked the post apocalyptic.

Only in arid climates would steel slow it's oxidation. Wood has it's own rate of decay. Concrete, aluminum, and some plastics might be the architectural artifacts left standing after a century of post "humanism"
civilization.

And in America, 'the future is now', enough decaying, neglected infrastructure to give us vital stats on what might be around after the
'last blast' of the atomic age's horn.

Imagine the clover leaf interchanges of interstate highways being the Stonehenge of Tommorrow.

Hmmm, maybe Troika will make the "Fallout 3" that the fans want? I think it would be more interesting to have a dead future that is less technology driven than was shown in the Fallouts.

The reinforced concrete structures of the highway overpasses would last a long time in a dry environment. Consider that some of what the Romans built was with concrete although it wasn't reinforced. It will wear from the blowing sands but will still be around for at least a thousand years.
