The Post-Apocalyptic MMORPG Twilight War's official website has been launched. Though much of the website serves only as a placeholder at this time, there is some information on the game and it's setting, as well as some concept art.

Great, we don't get enough XORGS these days.

This "game" makes me think of FOOL, and how any stupid thing they do would probably be doubled by FOOL, too.
 
I have a phobia - each time I see an RPG mixed with action, and the developer calls it RPG (DeusEx, by the way, never called itself an RPG - it always stayed true to it's action origin) I run away. Cause these kind of projects really get on my nerves.
RPG means "role playing", and I can't get used to the idea that i have to "play" the role of a Doom3-type-a-guy, because action/RPG's usually give me no other choice.

Well, my intellect tells me no, but somehow I cannot give up the dream of a satisfying MMORPG experience.
And I wouldn't mind FPS combat either, and if it's more a MMOAA than an MMORPG it may be a change for the better.

But the sad truth is it always seems to end up shite, overcrowded, laggy and cliche.

Sliced images, layout tables... I would write a critique if I wasn't already discussing ethics on AIM right now.
 
Amusingly, "The Fall" in this game's title doesn't refer to the fall of modern civilization. If you read the backstory, it refers to the fall of a giant alien space ship which melts the Antarctic ice cap. I found that rather humorous.
 
you know i like to believe that bad games are a product of beurocracy and moneyhoarding publishing companies, but this game proves me wrong, there is no reason an interseting and egnaging backsotry would somehow infterfer with this game's market viablity, bah, the world is a sick sick place.

I bet in these heady days of gender confusion, that the 'smart money' could do just as well bursting out of the niche closet of PA, and into the proven lucrative full frontal fields of LIVING> BREATHING>BALL SLAPPING .. ... porn, with a MMORPG based on this example of Extreme.

I bet there are even action figures for those that 'like to touch".
