how do i have to set up my rig to stop it starting in fullscreen? (win xp)

thanks in advance! its an amazing game, but my eyes hurt from 8bit-artifacts on large monitors.
 
Try running the game in dosbox, i'm pretty sure that dosbox runs things in a window, and then you press shift+enter to fullscreen it. Otherwise, you might try google, I;m sure there are several topics just like this on sites like xcomufo.com
 
From my experience, DosBox is your only option.

Although I must say the graphic rulez and I don't know what the fuck are you complaining about :D
