Unable to run FO2 after its installed.

First time out of the vault
Forgive me for posting a semi-redundant question. When I attempt to run Fallout 2 I get an error "Couldn't find/load text fonts", I have browsed the tech help faq's and haven't found anything to help. I couldn't really tell if the BIS FO Editor "Couldn't locate/load text fonts" error applied to my situation. I did a search on my hard drive after installation and on the actual install disk and couldn't find the mapper2.file. I run Windows XP, 2gig processor with 768 ram, and a 40gig hd. I am unsure if the version I have is us or uk as I bought it from ebay. The seller was from England leading me to believe it is the UK version. The installation method was the auto-run install on windows xp.

Thanks

Kenny

It has something to do with your path. This problem usually results from using the CD in a different drive than the installation, or a bad manual installation.

Now pardon me for asking a semi-redundent question, since without my magic mind-reading cap I can't pull it directly from your brain, and said cap is in the wash.

Why didn't you read the stickies/announcements?

I had already banned two people for failing to do the same thing. Do I have to make a third example ban?

It's same same error, but Fallout 2 has (logically) a fallout2.cfg instead of a mapper.cfg. The paths will be found there, same format.
