First time out of the vault
I think I've updated to the latest and greatest patch, but it says that my party members will show the armor they are wearing--which would be damn nice, stupid ugly loin cloth Sulik begins to annoy me--but they do not. And the start screen still displays 1.02. Did I botch the effort, or is the patch just not retroactive?
 
uhm, there is no patch that makes the armour of party members visible...because noone would have bothered to create all those frm's from scratch...
 
In the read me for the unofficial patch (1.05), under section for 1.04, it says that "Party members now change their appearance when wearing armor"

So that's a lie?
 
hmm, I havent tried that patch..buteh...I don't know who would have the pations to do such a thing...well, just wait for some answers from some of those who know for sure
 
Party members do change the look when wearing armor with 1.05. Just install the patch (just v1.05) on a clean Fallout2 installation and everything should work. There's also a separate B-Team Mod that does that if you don't like the patch.
 
They don't show the armor they wear, they just change their sprites to "generic <armor> wearing NPC" when you do that. It's not like someone had the nerve to make all the frames for a combat armor wearing Vic or something.

Yea, I know. I can't even get them to do that.
 
Five bucks that you forgot to make all the files of the mod read-only.
