Unused map tabs.

PsychoSniper

So Old I'm Losing Radiation Signs
I was browsing master.dat from the FO2 CD, and discoverd these unused map tabs there.

WM_ABBEY000000.BMP

WM_ENCLV000000.BMP

WM_EPA000000.BMP

WM_TRIBE000000.BMP

Now, all of those are known somewhat, however, this 5th one I havent heard of.

WM_COLUS000000.BMP

Anyone know the backstory of what was leftout here ?

Where is the "primitive tribe" used?Maybe its a stupid question but I dont seem to know...

there is/was supposed to be a primitive tribe to the south west of Arroyoyoyoyoyoyoyo

Wouldn't that have been where Sulik's tribe originally was? Or am I just dreaming that the developers had a solution for Sulik's sister problem in mind at some point?

I do believe the 1.05 unofficial patch uses the Abbey location.

I'm pretty sure that these unused locations featured here were covered in one of the Fallout Bibles, if anybody wants to know more about them.

FIFTEY SIX KILOBITES PER SECONED MODEM

*chough*

Heres what I remember.

Abbey. An old church. The 'monks' there preserve old knowledge in books, copying and remaking them.. However, theyve lost the knowledge to understand the books. Ian is supposed to be there, juidging from Tanti's dialouge. (which directly contridicts the FO storyline used in the FO2 manual, btw)

The Enclave.
The oil rig. It just never needed a location tab so was unused.

EPA
Enviromental Protection Agencey. Supposed to be run by a group of broken down old holograms.

Primitie Tribe.
You know that area south of Arroyo, west of Reno, and east of SanFran/Navarro thats a big emptey spotl. Primitive Tribe would have been in the center of that. Not Suliks home though if I remember right, since it wasnt on the coast like Sulik said his home was, but it was a source for tribal quests and such.

ColUSA
Navaros origonal name.

Primitive Tribe would have been Sulik's home village, and on the coast. Check Sulik's dialogue file for a few lines about whether to stay or not stay in the village after his sister's been found and delivered to safety.

For God's sake, PsychoSniper, don't you have any patience? I downloaded all the Fallout bibles on a 56k modem.

Saying you are a whiny bitch would be an insult to my dog.

Whoa, dude, that is a burn. You just got burned. Burned, dude, burned.

Why don't you just set it to download some night before you go to sleep? That's how I downloaded Debian on a 56k modem: took me 28 hours.

Meh, I was just waiting to DL them til i had access to a neightobs hispeed wireless to leach off of.

SInce Im leaching now, I will DL now.

Meh, Ive DLd it.

one of my oms neighbors has an unsecured hispeed witeless that I leach off of whenever Im over now.

Damn I love my new laptop.

I can't believe you can even live with 56K. My first connection was 128K and I consider that intolerable now.

This is true... The thing I hate about the Fallout Bibles is that some of them are PDF only (at least when I got them... maybe they're WORD now...) and I hate PDF.

As to connections, I use a broadband at home equivalent to 1/2 a T1, and where I work we've got ISDN which is good for all but large files. A friend of mine had a 56K with AOHELL and I couldn't believe how slow it was. It seemed to be the AOHELL and not the system itself, though...
