Using mapper in RP?

First time out of the vault
I was trying to use mapper after downloading restoration project,
and it says couldn't load text font or some sort.

I've changed mapper2.cfg to locate master and critter.dat correctly
but...it blackouts and giving me unreadable message.

Any help?
