Vault 11

I have been pondering on making a story driven text based game, set in the world of Fallout. You may wonder what a text based game is, well it's very simple. It's a game that relies on text and sometimes images to convey a story that you interact with and influence depending on how it allows you to. I know some of you will dislike that idea but the main point isn't a large world free to explore (we have other Fallout games) but a Fallout based story which you influence and change. The beauty of text based games is the low amount of coding and computer expertise needed. However to make a memorable story you need a good story and decent writing skills, which I believe I have.

Now this is more of a pitch then an actual set project, with the world, story and time still vague. I have yet to make a story and world which sounds embarrassing but I want to see where you want it to be set. If you are interested in contributing (please remember this is not set in stone) feel free to give locations, factions and ideas. The story is set around Vault 55, you being from it.

Here is the introduction so far. It's alright and been done on the moment. So if you're interested please contribute!

'War... war never changes.'

It took only two hours for the world to be engulfed by atomic fire and ash, two hours in which Humanity was brought to it's knees and almost extinguished. The world was changed, smite by the tremendous power of nuclear weaponry and the greed, the fear of Humanity. In two hours our history took a turn... for the worse. What remained were small cultures, villages and towns scraping out a living in the wastes, fighting raiders, radiation and misshappen beasts. They were seen as the only survivors though deep underground, safe from the bombs lay the vaults.

The vaults were created to house a thousand people, the vaneguard of New America in the wastes. The vaults had food, water and housing, protecting and comforting many during the traumatic two hours that destroyed the world. They were meant to open up, heralding the rebirth of America. However unknown the vault dwellers, their homes were created as experiments, some cruel and depraved, to study Human reactions.

These shelters were meant to stand closed for years, yet things are about to change for Vault 55 and it's future will be decided by your actions...

EDIT: Vault 55

Vault 11 is in the Mojave (it's the one with "Democracy Inaction") and is one of the single most memorable vault concepts in the franchise. Did you intend to choose a different number? You probably should, since we more or less know what happened in Vault 11.

Do your research bro. Read the Fallout Bible, information on all the canon Fallout vaults, and go from there.

I know I will... but please don't be too hung up on the number. It's not all powering. Oh Toront, do you mind if I use your Motor City? I may use it due to the fact it's so fleshed out but then again it's your idea and I may misinterpret it.
