Vault 15 something under a bed?

First time out of the vault
So I was at Vault 15 and I was paying attention to the notifications. First I got one about something being under a bed, I checked it out and I got another one that said that there was a dust mark that indicated a small object having been moved recently. What is that about?! I googled around and found ... that there is nothing there (?)

Oh, and the game likes to hide things behind walls, is there a button I can hold to see the outlines of actionable objects and enemies? Right now I'm aiming the gun to see them.

Using Fallout Fixt latest ver.
 
After you get the message about dust marks if you look in the bottom left corner of the same room you will now find a Small Statuette. When examined it is the same statuette found in FO2 and I can only imagine that they are the 'prototype' for the FO3\NV\FO4 Bobbleheads. :)
