Vault city problems

First time out of the vault
My mission is to optimise the power plant for vault city. To do this you have the get the information from the computer in the vault. However when i try to get the information it only says something like "Looks like screek(or whatever he was called) was right. Vault City doesnt have eneugh power..."

Secondly i cant talk to dr. Troy. When i engage in to conversation with him i have only one option to say: "Nothing today dr. bye"

How to fix these probs?

You may have to elaborate on this. No idea who "Screek" is. Haven't you been told exactly how to retrieve and store the information?

Probably your character lacks the intelligence and/or know-how to pick any more interesting topics. Try reading up on what the good doctor does.
 
How do you retrieve and store information? And the guide says "Optimize the Power Plant disc". How?!

My character also isnt a retard - he posses superior intelligence of 10. Any other thoughts on how i can be able to get him to talk with me? This never happened before.
 
Talk to the ghoul who runs the Gecko power plant, he'll give you a holodisk you must take to Vault City and put info on from the vault computer. The computer is on the third level right by the overseer chair.

I don't remember exactly, but you either use the disk on the computer, or you use the computer with the disk in your inventory and select the option to download the info. You have the disk, right?

I can only suggest you raise your Doctor skill. Beyond that I don't know what the problem may be.
 
I guess that if you're not wounded, poisoned, irradiated, hadn't read about the implants in the medical database and hadn't triggered the Jet Antidote quest, then you simply have nothing to ask the doc about.

That or you're simply too inteligent to have any common ground with him. :D (j/k)
 
And what about your character's Science skill? Is it high enough to work with computers? Or maybe you just didn't find a "proper" computer? And of course the holodisk from Gecko. You must obtain it before visiting Vaultcity.
 
You also realize that if you optimize the powerplant in Gecko you basically sign the death warrant for the ghouls. Optimizing the powerplant is one way of affecting the ending of the game.
 
Hmmm... you need to talk to the guys in get the quest for at Vault City to find out the reason for slow shipment from Redding. Then you talk to guys in Redding and found out that's becos of Jet.

If your medical skill is high enough, you should have the thread. Maybe brining Myron or having talked to him about Jet will help. I don't remember on that.

Fallout offers an easy solution -- simply wipe Vaultcity out. (: Never liked that "city of bad*sses".
 
Better make sure you're packing some mean hardware for that. If you try that when you first go there you are likely to get wiped out. It is fun though when you go berserk and get your revenge.
