VB - Scurrybot

Wild_qwerty

Sonny, I Watched the Vault Bein' Built!
in the interests of trying to upskill so I can be usefull on the modding scene, I'm currently working on scurrybot that was tipped to be in VB. as you can see it's not done yet and nor is it perfect, but it's my first model and it's a rather small model, so once it's rendered it will be small enough not to notice any mistakes :)

*EDIT*
nearly done, of course I should try and round out the corners, but no one will see them so why bother?

Hi there!
Make a rounded version, render both bots and import them in game as scenery objects (o.k, make them a bit huger). See the difference in how light behaves.
And another advice: make it a critter. It will give you an idea about how to establish a production pipeline. In scene mode use ortho wiew. The standard 0.00 Y position in PYR is critter orientation 3. So: -180, -120, -60, 0, 60, 120. Remeber to give the bot combat animations, or the game will crash when trying to perform them (should the bot go hostile). The inability to fight must be set via script.
Have a good time.

EDIT: I was giving pointers about pipeline to the man who converted tactics critters.... My apologies.

Thanks sirren67!!

I'm going to look into this further as I'd like to start making critters from scratch as well.

@wild-qwerty

I like the look of this bot. Can't wait to see more of it when it's done.

I'll try and see if I can round it out today at some point, I had a go at colouring it yesterday, looked like crap :? So I'm not to sure on how to skin it yet.

Well, I've kind of figured out how to load apply a texture in Anim8tor, cant say I'm very good at it, but I've sort of done it...

Can you make some ingame screens? I would do it by myself, but at the moment, I can´t do this, because I´m not at home. :)
