Vertibird Mod 1.3 Q's

First time out of the vault
playing vertibird mod 1.3 through mod runner on FO2 patched to 1.02. i was also playing with the super goddess charecter so and the chop shop mod so i just headed straight to navarro with a bozar and vindicator and power armor mark II. Killed everyone in the base and all the turrents and it says i have no idea how to fly the vertibird when i try to get in it. Leveled up almost ten times to try and find the perk if there was one and couldnt. How can i finally fly the vertibird and i read somethings about getting fuel? ...where can i get that?

any help is appreciated
 
i talked to the guy that was sleeping in the room. I also got exp for discovering another pop culture refrence but that was it...nothing about flying the veritibird other than that he was a pilot. Is there a way i can find this charecter in a new location...did he go somewhere?

However, he is not the guy that can teach you how to fly a Vertibird.

Hint: Mr. 7 wasn't far off though; the guy you seek is in Broken Hills. He looks like a tribal.

By the way, you stated that you were running Version 1.03 of the Vertibird MOD. Do you have Version 1.03 or did you update to Version 1.032? Before flying the Vertibird, it is recommended that you upgrade to Version 1.032 as this version will fix a critical bug in V1.03 and be fully compatible with all V1.03 saved games. To do so, just use the NMA Files section. Though the name of the MOD will still be listed as 'Vertibird mod 1.3', the file that you download, when unzipped will show that this is really Version 1.032.
 
Vertibird 1.4 Question

Hey guys,

I know for a fact that the perk for flying Vertibirds is in broken hills and that the person i am looking for is someone who looks like a tribal. What i am really in dire need of help for is were the hell is he? i searched everywhere the mine (including secret passage were Chuck is ^^) the ant infested cave next to the mines every house and practically talked to everyone in the area. Am i missing something or do i have to do something to make him appear?

Alright, go to the bar where you can arm-wrestle that one mutant. You can't see him since the roof is covering him so walk down a few steps and you should spot him.
 
Ok right i checked the bar for any extras and it seems that only the mutan arm wrestler and the ghoul bar keep are there have i installed the mod wrongly as i followed the insructions and that save wont work unless i use the vertibird mod? is it possible that the children X patch has interrupted it?
