First time out of the vault
Hi there. I am at my wits' end here! I've read the stickies, done a search and can't find a solution to my problem.
I'm running Vista Ultimate with Intel Core 2 3.2GHz with 4GB RAM and 2 nvidia 8800 GTX SLI. I have the soundblaster x-fi xtremegamer card.
The game installs perfectly, runs in both compatability mode and when patched (I downloaded and tried the 1.02 patch) just fine, plays the intro movie just fine, and plays music...
...but I get no sound effects at all. Since I'm running Vista, there's no disabling hardware acceleration via dxdiag, and I can't find any other posts with my specific problem. Apologies if I somehow missed the answer when I browsed search results!
