VNC or the like/remote access

Hotel California

Mildly Dipped
Probably not the right forum to ask this but as you're all so savvy and I don't know anywhere better -

Does anyone know of any remote access program such as RealVNC (but not that one) which allows you (the viewer) to run games/videos from the server. RealVNC doesn't have this option so it is quite useless for me. It just gives a blank screen and whacks out the colours.

You could try using the Windows remote access thingie. (I forget what it's called)

Another possibility is to share your games via the network and then run them that way. If you do that, the game will be executed locally, but the data will still be written remotely.

You can share folder over the network. Hence, you can share a game folder over the network as well.:P

Are you sure there are no dirve conflicts? Have you done it before?

With our most favorite of games I get this error ->

errorbj8.png

I get the "cannot find text/load font" error for FO2.

Also, is there any way to bypass the security setting which disallows the sharing of "Program Files" (due it being used by the operating system) without having to go through all the fuss of doing each folder manually?

I have done this before, without any errors.

Heh, interesting. Well, try to have the CD in your drive, then. ;)

Not that I know of.

Ah but i've got the Humongous instal + you can blatently see the master.dat next to falloutw.exe.

EDIT: Ignore that - all that was required was to change the CFG file to the right path, i.e. \\NEW\Interplay\fallout not c:\interplay\fallout

EDIT2: HUGE PROBLEM - My old computer is now not responding to RealVNC and the display has gone all fucked - on the monitor it is all super black, all the colours are wrong, there only really seems to be RGB. When a screen shot is taken and transfered onto NEW pc it looks fine but on old PC it is super broke. All i did was make C: a shared folder, do you reckon this has anything to do with it?
