Hi Guys,

I need a voice actor for a talking head. I think I've got the process correct I jsut need to do it now. The trouble is I'm not a very good voice actor so my tests dont work that well. The recordings I made were that good a quality which really screws up the generation of the LIP files, so I need a really clean recording. Since FO2 is set in the US, I need a yank to do the recordings, somehow my New Zealand accent doesnt match.

---> US Accent
---> Experience in recording sounds (I dont want to have to tell you how to use a microphone and sounds recording software etc...)
---> A good quality Mic, the recordings *must* be clean

I will send a copy of the dialog to the Voice Actor when they are ready to begin.
 
Do you need a girl or a boy to do the voice... I grew up with Emily Berry. She played the voice of Mira in Kotor sith lords. She did another game also but I have no idea what it was.. I only see her once a year around christmas time. But i'm pretty sure I could get her e-mail address from my mom.
 
Maybe you should just buy a vocoder, then you can make your voice sound like whatever you want it to sound like.
 
Hmm... I'll take a look, and see if I can find any nice ones, in my experiance lots of them aren't very good.

Yeah, I know, he really kick ass (vocaly) in Republic Commando.
BTW, Jango Fett has an "New Dawn" (or something like that) accent.
 
ya reckon? I thought he sounded like he does in all his other movies, thats just the guys normal voice.
 
Why not ask Ron Perlman. He seems like a nice enough fellow.. and he has to like fallout .. or at least saying the phrase "war never changes"..

For some reason I can't seem to find his phone number anywhere.. hmmmm. How odd.

Guess we'll just have to find out where his favorite hang outs are and stalk him a bit.... actors loooooooove being stalked.

If I had that kinda money to throw at this mod then all our scripting problems would be solved... I've found lots of cool free ones, but nothing that really has the desired effect.
 
Sorry "what a steal" was supposed to sound sarcastic...
But I think you've hit on an entirely new concept...Money for mod makers..

That's all I have.....I have no idea how to take that concept farther.
Maybe small business government grants..
 
lol, yeah I got teh sarcasm, I was just in a funny mood, sorry. If I can convince my local mp to give us a grant then I will, she is a family friend so it might not be too hard.. :P
