Wall problem in Official Mapper

Look, Ma! Two Heads!

Why does this happen, and what can I do to fix it?

The wider wall sections work fine, but the narrow ones that go between do not show up. I select them and move them to where I want them to be, but when I click to place them nothing happens. The red blocking hexes appear as they should, but no visible wall. That ladder is the only scenery in the map so far also, so there is nothing they could possibly be behind.

I tried quitting the mapper and restarting and that didn't work. I deleted the entire section of wall and started over and it does the same thing. Really frustrating the piss out of me! Help! please!

You are sure, that you have choosen the smaller wall parts and placed them there? Normally there shouldn't be any problem with that.

I tried it again after restarting the computer. I'm fairly certain it is the correct size. Here are screens from the mapper.
1. Fits the space before it is in place:

2. Looks perfect, but then it disappears when I click it:

Seems to me you are trying to place the narrow ones at the exact same place than the wider one. Your wall is on two different lines, But you can't see it because of the background. You probably put two "narrow one" aside.
Do the wall again but with another background and it should be ok.
Remember to place the wall after the position of the image at the bottom of the wall, not after the top...
Hope it is that, good luck!

Many thanks to both of you. I don't think it was exactly what you said, Grayswandir, but almost, and I got it working. :)

You mentioned that the hexes might be on top of each other, so I turned those on and saw that there was a line of little green ones with a "W" in them where I wanted the wall. If the wall section base hex needs to be on one of those, then it doesn't 'stick' for some reason. After deleting them it worked fine.

I seems I used wall blockers instead of scenery blockers to keep the player from seeing the wrong floor tiles I wanted to hide, so hopefully the problem is solved.
