Walls little gaps...

First time out of the vault
oookay - I read the tutorial of FO2 Editor but it didn't help much and so I'm asking help here. While doing the walls I came up with all-known problem that there is gaps in walls. There was something about "wall block" that is invisible in real game and how u can see it but there wasn't anything about HOW to put them. Soooo...how do i put those blockers? where can i find these?

( looks like i found another tutorial to do at the weekend.. will it never end? )

there are 2 types of wall blockers.

walls that are solid, and walls that can be shot through.. ( wall and wall s.t. )

they are wall tiles 620 and 621 respectively.

they look blank in the selector, and don't show up on the map..

to view them, i recomend first turning the hex grid on ( clik the hex button.. ).
then go to the tools menu, and select "toggle block obj view" to make the "hidden" tiles visible.

to place them, just "fill in" the hexes under the walls that are not red ( or don't already have a green w in them )

there are a few more invisible tiles that also show up in this mode, such as scenery blockers, scroll blockers, invisible blockers ( that stop the player, but don't show up on the pip boy minimap like the walls and scenery blockers do.. ), exit grid markers ( because the exit grid tiles also don't show on the minimap ), light scources and so on..
most of these are documented in the readme that comes with the editor, allbeit not very well..

Tutorials...yes..u started it..now u gotta finish it. Maybe in 2 yers! muahahaha! Thanks! ^^

I posted that on the IPLY forums quite a while ago :P. Everything except the "shoot through blockers" is documented properly in the official docs. The "shoot through blockers" are mentioned, but as "normal blockers" though.

What Iv'e been wondering for a while is how I remove one of those invisible walls if I : Saved game after adding and dont want it in the place I put it. It doesn't work with removing scripts or by using the delete.

to remove the "hidden" blockers, you need to turn the "toggle block OBJ view" on.. which then makes the little red hexes ( as seen with hex's turned on ) show up as green, yellow, blue, white etc hexes ( depending on type.. ) with letters in them..

then just right click on a blank bit ( to exit whatever mode you might be in.. ) and then click on the delete "button" on the screen..
this will put you into delete mode where you can just left click on whatever you want to delete... ( easier then selecting it then clicking the delete key.. )
