Wassup with PIP Boy?

I heard a lot about players getting PIP boy to join their party. Can someone tell me what the story is with that? I think that would be fun.

Also, at Epsilon Bunker (just arrived at the time) I found a Jet Bike key in the QM Depot. What can you do with that thing?
 
PIP Boy can be found in some special encounter and he'll join. I think that the jet bike key is one of the useless items in the game, not sure thou :P
 
About the PIP boy thing I have heard about that but don't know how to get it.

As for the Jetbike key you get it in a special encounter with a nuka-cola delivery boy who has a Jetbike and you can kill the delivery boy and take his bike :)
 
Speaking of the PiP Boy... I have got 4 Special Encounter with PiP Boy.. .so far... I think I come across all available s. enc. so everytime I step on spot for a s. enc. I get PiP Boy...
Mostly.. .sometimes 4 Horsearses... They change the order of the group, aii, but it won't change back... not even if I return to the horseshits.. .
