Wasteland 2 $2500 Kickstarter reward tier changed

WorstUsernameEver

But best title ever!
The team at inXile must have noticed that absolutely no one seemed to be interested in the $2500 reward tier and decided to change it to attract more potential backers, and changed it from a blood sausage sculpture to the chance for people that choose this tier to get their own personalized 'artifact' in the game:
You get to place a personalized collectible artifact in our world and write its backstory! It could be anything from an engagement ring to a teddy bear. We will have 200 of these rare and semi rare items that can be found throughout the Wasteland 2 world. When collected, all players will learn about the personal touch that you added to the world. You'll also receive a signed Collector's Edition, boxed version and 10 digital copies of the game to do what you'd like with, in addition to a lv4 Desert Ranger medal of honor limited edition collectible. (This does not include NPC/Weapon/Location as well)

Still seems a little weak in my opinion - I dont have 2.5k to splash though.

They also seemed to have widened the amount of people allowed for some of the higher tiers.

$10,000 went from 8 spaces to 16. $5,000 went from 10 to 15.

Maybe we could organize and collect at least $2500 to get an item for NMA forums? For example a matchbox - "This is a promotional box of matches for something called No Mutants Allowed bar in the ruins of Los Angeles. You wonder how it got here."

Just throwing ideas around :)

Or an old broken down bar neon sign which writes "No Mutants Allowed."

I would be ready to donate for the old broken down bar neon sign.
Not a big amount but enough to reach 2500$ if 99 other members give as much as me

I'd happily put some money into it.

I'm glad they are really listening to our feedback. This greatly improved the $2,500 tier IMO. Great ideas so far too. :D

The artifact would obviously be a glittering gem of hatred

First thing I thought of too! Not sure what use it could have in game except as a piece of valuable currency?

i was thinking of pledging $75 for the cloth map, the book, and the beta access.

my question is, if i pledge that money, does it go out april 17th or within a day or 2 because it has been "funded" as otherwise i will have to wait until closer to launch to pledge. if it goes out right away from my bank, then i can pledge whenever.

With all the support these guys got from NMA, I wouldn't be surprised to see some sort of NMA reference/easter egg in Wasteland 2.

They will charge you $1 immediately to make sure you have enough money in your bank account for whatever amount you pledged, but the pledge money isn't charged until April 17th.

That's true but still I would like to be sure about that. We should ask Brother None since he's in contact with Fargo.

I would like to see some reference to NMA.

yea, so i shouldnt sign up/pledge then until much closer.

question is, is there a way for them to track which pledges were from nma people, and when that amount reaches the target $ amount to give nma credit.

Timely Or Too Late?

If you haven't already, go vote with your, virtual, feet. Add to the viewed counter.
If in an excitable mood, text out something agreeably manic, I know I have. ;)

NMA can mobilize in a stately turn based fashion, not 'act out' like some non specified pop-a-mole site that seems to always be real time with (or with out ) pause.
