I think someone already asked this question but i couldnt find the thread... Is it possible to play wasteland these days? if so, how?

Depends on your OS. If you get it from Underdogs or another place, use moslo or a VM to set the environment that it runs in so it isn't too fast. There is an IBM/PC version, as well as a C64 version.

Or you can get a C64 emulator and the C64 version, I think that might run at the speed it is supposed to or have a speed toggle, I'm not sure as it would depend on the emulator.

I can run Wasteland under XP without the use of any slowdown programs. Of course, I've only played for about two minutes, so combat or something might be super fast...

I could never figure out how to get DOSBOX to work....

It runs on my comp just fine, but I have no sound..does the game even have sound?

Mohrg

Dosbox is a little weird - the best way I've found to run it is to open up the folder containing dosbox, then open up the drive/folder that contains the folder of the game you want to run in a seperate window. Then just drag the game folder onto the dosbox.exe file, and a little command prompt window should open up. Type "dir", figure out which file is the main .exe file and run it. Sorry if that sounds complicated, I suck at explaining things.

Wasteland does have sound but it's pretty primative, just beep and click type of noises. It does have a really cool sound for unloading a clip from an assault rifle though.

I got mine from Abandonware, someone posted the link and I dove for it. Don't know if it's still there.

I'm going to put up a wasteland tournament soon in the gaming forum, so better practice
